We all have that little spirit in the sky. Whatever you call it, whoever it is, however it speaks to you.... there is something greater than us that we look to in times of need. Let's transcend the physical and get higher in this flow where we worship our lives, our physical health, and all of it that is held in our spirits!
Live Every Day Like It's Your Birthday!
To celebrate the 4 month birthday of Damn Good Yoga Online, we are putting on our birthday crowns this week and stand on our crown chakras. Ever wondered how to go upside down safely, even if you have a neck injury? We move to open up and take chances in this one! Because we should live every single day like it's our birthday. Every morning wake up, we have the chance to create the life we want to live, the balance we crave, and the magic we want to make. Happy Birthday, baby.
If You Wanna Dance, DANCE
There is a mantra in yoga, Om Namah Shivaya, which translates into honoring your inner truth. However weird, wild, or imperfect. We must slow down, clear the chatter, and listen to that deep voice within us. When we practice yoga, when we operate at work, when we make decisions in our relationships, honesty is paramount. When we act in a way that is incongruous with our deepest truth, we find ourselves feeling out of alignment. So let's get aligned this week! We dance with our breath, let go of control and forcing in our bodies, and let our freak flags fly.
Immune Boost, Boo!
This week in class, we heat the body to create ojas, which bolsters our immune systems and burns off any of the yuckies. It's more important, now than ever, to keep our minds and bodies in tip top shape! Think twists, fiery pranayama, and fun arm balancing! We will harness our strength to strengthen our bodies. Expect to sweat it all out!
